In the 40's the family moved to Paducah, Cottle, TX where he met his love of his life, Nelda Mae Latham and on 7 Jul 1948 they joined in wedded bliss in front of the Justice of the Peace.
They had two children Valrie Glen and Charleta Faye (1952-1954).
On 2 Dec 1997, surrounded by family and friends, he went home to be with his Lord and Savior.
