Mrs. M. O. Carter

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret O. Carter, age 93, were held Sunday, February 11th, at Poplar Springs church, conducted by Rev. W. M. Hull, with interment in the church cemetery. Mrs. Carter died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Carwile, in Winona.

The deceased is survived by fix daughters, Mrs. W. B. Dorris, Yazoo City, Mrs. W. H. Jones, Poplar Creek, Mrs. L. B. Austin, Elliott, Mrs. G. A. Carwile, Winona, Mrs. S. L. Biggers, Kilmichael, and Mrs. J. W. Stovall, Memphis, Tenn.; two sons, A. B. Carter, Hollandale, and J. T. Carter, Itta Bena; one sister, Mrs. Emma Thompson, Wynn, Ark.; 60 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Carter was the widow of the late M. F. Carter, and daughter of the late Ephriam and Susan Walker Alexander, pioneer settlers of Montgomery County. She was a member of the Milligan Springs Baptist Church.
