Services for Mrs. Lillian M. Jones, who died at the home of her son, Dr. William H. Jones, in Birmingham, Ala., were held at Bethsaida Baptist Church near Winona Sunday afternoon at 2, The Rev. C. F. Anglin and the Rev. C. F. Patterson officiated. Burial was under the direction of Lee Funeral Home of Winona.
Mrs. Jones, who was 77, was born in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Michael P. and Margaret Alexander Carter of Blackmonton. She was member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. She was married to William H. Jones in 1896.
She leaves six daughters, Mrs. P. W. Houch of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. J. G. Bamberg of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Jack Jones of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. W. D Curtis of Poplar Creek, Mrs. L S. Curtis of French Camp and Mrs. Lonnie Braswell of Kosciusko; two sons, Carter H. Jones of San Diego, Calif., and Dr. W H. Jones of Birmingham, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. L. B. Austin, Mrs. G.A. Carwile, Mrs. S. L. Biggers of Winona and Mrs. Warren Stovall of Memphis; two brothers, A. B. Carter of Greenville and J. T. Carter of Itta Bena; 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
