Funeral services for Mrs. Claudine Carter Austin, 96, of Winona were held at the Moore Memorial Methodist Church on Thursday, December 13 at 2 p.m. The Revs. W. V. Kemp and Robert Ellis officiated with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
Mrs. Austin was the widow of the late L. B. Austin. She was a member of the Moore Memorial Methodist Church. She passed away on Wednesday, December 12 at Winona Manor.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lowry of Winona and Mrs. Betty Curry of Hattiesburg; four sons, Ward Austin of Winona, Cade Austin of Bellville, Illinois, Wayne Austin of Memphis and C. L. Austin of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie Carwile of Kilmichael and Mrs. Emma Stovall of Memphis. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were M. L. Branch, Luther Lamb, Clyde Gibson, Vardaman Heath, Maurice Ferguson and Jake Marchant. Lee Funeral Home was in charge.
