Charleston - H. Danley Barr Sr., 69, died in a Charleston hospital Sunday. He was born at Springfield Dec. 18, 1910, son of the late H. C. Barr and Irene Ashe Barr. He was retired from the Naval Weapons Station as a mechanic. He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Omar Temple. He was a member of West Ashley Southern Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Merdrue Gleaton Barr of Charleston Heights; daughter, Mrs. Francis B. Celata of Peabody, Mass.; two sons, H. D. Barr Jr. and James E. Barr Sr. of Charleston Heights; sister, Mrs. Lula Hallman, and a brother, Carroll Barr, both of Springfield; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at J.
