Velma worked many years as a waitress and an outstanding waitress!! She lost her husband George in 1998 to cancer. Then in 2000 she reconnected with a long-time friend, Slim Weekes. He courted her for a year and then they married May 20, 2003 in Laughlin, NV. They moved to Basin in 2005, where she was surrounded by many wonderful friends, She lost her love Slim Weekes November of 2011.
Velma's only living sibling is Jay Clark of Ralston, WY. They spent many Sundays together! Her parents, Spouses, one son (Rick) and all her other siblings passed before her. She is survived by Rebecca (Gary) Mills of Deaver, Kenneth )Denise) Lynch of Basin, Patricia (Frank) Valdez of Casper, Karen Lynch of Helena, MT, Debra (Vito) Herrera of Grand Junction, CO, John Lynch of Casper, Mary (Bill) Skinner of Deeth, NV, Brenda (Michael) Smith of Hudson and Joseph (Angie) Lynch of Gillette. 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
Cremation has taken place at the Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull and her ashes will be buried in the Hudson Cemetery.
