Mrs. Annie Callaham Dies in San Antonio
Word was received in Bandera Tuesday of the death of Mrs. Annie Callaham, 78, relict of the lamented Ed Callaham. She passed away Tuesday after a short illness. Funeral services will be conducted at the Pipe Creek cemetery this afternoon (Friday) by Rev. G. A. Garig, pastor of the Bandera Baptist church, assisted by J. Marvin Hunter. She is survived by five children, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Annie Love, Mrs. Edna Herring, Mrs. Ruth Goodwin, Robert E. and John H. Callaham, all of San Antonio; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Newcomer of Pipe Creek, Mrs. Laura Callaham of El Paso, Mrs. Mamie Buck of Clifton, and Mrs. Cora Mansfield of Bandera; three brothers, Walter Buck of Pipe Creek, Dan and Robert Buck of Bandera.
Mrs. Callaham, nee Miss Annie Buck, was born at Port Lavaca, Texas, November 21, 1867, and came to Bandera when in her girlhood. She was married to Ed Callaham in Bandera, and resided in this county until about twenty-five years ago, when she and her family moved to San Antonio. Mr. Callaham passed away in 1925, and was buried at Pipe Creek. Her remains will rest beside those of her husband.
The Bulletin extends condolence and sympathy to the bereaved family in the loss of this devoted mother and sister.
