Barbara David passed peacefully into the hands of God on March 2nd surrounded by family. Barbara Ann David was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan on April 18, 1939 to Elmer and Ethel Andrews. She was blessed with a big wonderful family and always talked fondly of her childhood and youth growing up in Harbor Beach with her siblings Carolyn (Sis),William (Bill), Tim, Richard (Dick) and Lois Lou (babe) She took many trips back there to walk down memory lane with her kids and grandkids. She married the late Donald David in 1969 and had two wonderful, devoted sons. She worked hard all her life, first downtown in Detroit at Hudson's and later for over 30 years in the school system as a latch key child care worker. When she finally retired in 2012, she was able to spend a lot of time with her grandkids. She enjoyed visiting family and traveled to Texas, and Florida to go to Walt Disney World with her family, as well as trips to see her sister in California. She was a kind and generous woman. She was a friend to anyone that knew her, whether that was a coworker, a friend or family member or even friends of her children or grandchildren. She remembered tiny details about everything you told her and never forgot to ask about those things later. She had a beautiful smile and lit up the room with it, it was easy to make her laugh and her friends and family will miss her very much. She loved animals, spending time with her family, and keeping in touch with friends. She is survived by her loving sons Patrick (Trisha) David, Brian (Shelly), David, her grandchildren Ian, Karysma, Chloe and Kendall, her brother Tim Andrews, several brother and sister in laws and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who adored her. She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, Elmer and Ethel, her siblings Carolyn, Bill, Richard and Lois. She also leaves behind her loving cat, Smokey. Committal Service Friday 11:00 am at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
