Lafayette, Nov. 21. - Funeral services for James Bond, 77, of 3562 Brook Street, will be held here Monday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Valley mortuary on Thompson Road.

Mr. Bond, a native of Missouri, came to Eureka as a young man and later worked in Oakland for 30 years. He retired to Lafayette in 1940 and died here after a brief illness.

He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Belva Bond; a daughter, Mrs. J. Scott of San Anselmo; three grandchildren, a brother, Sam Bond of Fortuna; and the following sisters--Miss Emma Bond of Eureka, Mrs. Lou Eads of Iberia, Mo.; Mrs. Bird Thompson and Mrs. Alice Livingston, both of St. Louis; and Mrs. Doll Berry of Tuscumbia, Mo.

Bishop George Miller and the Rev. Harry Shaner of Lafayette Community Methodist Church will officiate at the final rites.
