Memorial services were held Monday, March 3rd 1986 at 2 pm from Duck Hill Baptist Church for James Walter Holmes, 77, a retired Trucker.
Holmes died March 1st at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Services were held by the Rev. Johnny Hutchison and burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery. Lee Funeral Home was in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Holmes of Duck Hill, two sisters, Nona Wood of Grenada and Marie Rodgers of Duck Hill, a half sister, Nancy Kirk of Duck Hill, a brother Jack Holmes of Kilmichael and two half brothers Gillon Holmes of Potts Camp, and Charles Holmes of Duck Hill.
Pallbearers were Mike Wood, Norman Ezell, L.L. Branscome, James Bowen, Gregg Holmes and James Powell.
