Jewel Henry Rose

Jewel Henry Rose, 78, of Winona died August 8 at Grenada County Hospital. He was a retired farmer.

In addition to his wife, Travie Allene Alldread Rose, he leaves three daughters, Laverne Downs, Allene Hentz, and Bettie Ware, all of Winona; four sons, James Howard Rose of Grenada, Gene Lee Rose of Southaven, Roy Dale Rose of Winona, and Homer E. Rose of Hephzibah, Georgia; a brother, Joe Calvin Rose of Duck Hill, and two sisters, Louise Hubbert of Memphis and Mary Frances Holmes of Duck Hill. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Eskridge Baptist Church at 4 p.m. August 10, with the Reverends Norris Corley, D. C. Hartley, and Richard Morman officiating. Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dan Middleton, L. W. McDaniel, L. C. Hemphill, Ed Fondren, Billy Blakely, E. B. Wray, and Leroy Mills.

Lee Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of the arrangements.

Jewel Henry Rose, 78, of Winona died August 8 at Grenada County Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
