Funeral services for Mary Allene Hentz, age 76, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home.
Allene died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Grenada Health and Rehab.
She was born on March 24, 1939 in Duck Hill and was the daughter of the late Jewel Henry Rose and Travie Allene Alldread Rose.
Allene was employed by Kellwood and Angelica as a seamstress. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jesse Duane Vance; one sister, Laverne Downs; and two brothers, James Howard Rose and Roy Rose.
She is survived by one son, Barry Vance of Atoka, Tennessee; one sister, Betty Lou Ware of Winona; two brothers, Gene Rose of Florida and Homer Rose of Hephzibah, Georgia; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the National Alzhiemer’s Association.
