Ruthie Dell Farrish Killebrew

Ruthie Dell Farrish Killebrew, 80, of Kilmichael, formerly of Greenwood, died Friday, July 16, 1999, of heart failure at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mrs. Killebrew was a member of Kilmichael Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and her family had been longtime farmers in Swiftown.

Mrs. Killebrew was preceded in death by her husband, the late L.B. "Jack" Killebrew, and her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie H. Farrish.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 18 at Oliver Chapel with Rev. Dennis McKay officiating and Rev. David Bishop assisting. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael.

Mrs. Killebrew is survived by two daughters, Charmayne Howell of Kilmichael and Sherry Thaxton of Memphis; one son, Ronnie Killebrew of Meridian; two sisters, Rebecca Hitt and Shirley Edwards, both of Greenwood; two brothers, Julius Farrish of Belmont and Robert Farrish of Olive Branch; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Edwards, David Edwards, George Farrish, Glenn Hitt, Will "Butch" Fancher, Mark Atwood, Robbie Pike, and Milan Killebrew.

Memorial may be made to the Kilmichael Hospital Memorial Fund, c/o Bank of Kilmichael, PO Box 187, Kilmichael, MS 39747.

Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
