Lloyd Benford "Jack" Killebrew, 55, died at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital at 10:30 a.m. today after a three-month illness. Mr. Killebrew was a native of Lexington and a resident of Greenwood for nine years. He was a former resident of Swiftown where he was a farmer. For the last several years he owned and operated Jack's Amoco Service Station on the U.S. Highway 82 By-Pass. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a World War II veteran, a member of the Mississippi State Penitentiary parole board, a member of the governor's staff, and chairman of the Leflore County Democratic Committee.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Farrish Killebrew; one son, Ronnie Killebrew of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby B. Howell of Kilmichael and Mrs. James Thaxton of Atlanta; two brothers, J. A. Killebrew of Cruger and Doyle Killebrew of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. H. E. Chisolm of Lexington and Mrs. W. C. Floyd of Greenwood; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M. C. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
