Francis was born in Alford Parish, Lincolnshire, England to William Hutchinson and Anne Marbury. In the early morning hours of August 15, 1643 a group of Mohegan Indians raided the Hutchinson Home and slaughtered Francis and his family and burned their home to the ground.
