Mary A. Brewer Dies Tuesday
Mrs. Mary A. Brewer, 84 years old, 200 East Pearl St., died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Colvin Nursing Home after being seriously ill since Tuesday. She had been in failing health for five years.
She was born December 2, 1881 in Barr township, the daughter of John W. and Cordelia (Patterson) Bowling, and was educated in the Barr township schools. She was a member of St. Simon's church and the St. Simon's Altar Society.
Mrs. Brewer was married April 23, 1901 to William Perry Brewer, who died in 1947.
Surviving are four children: Mrs. Gus (Lillian) Jerger, Washington; Mrs. Beatrice Barrow, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Hyatt and Mrs. Henry (Catherine) Mandabach, Washington; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Bowling, Indianapolis and Harry Bowling, Loogootee and Mrs. Theresa Prodenski, Chula Vista, California.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Simon's church with interment in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee and York Chapel after 7 p.m. today. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
