She grew up on a farm west of town and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1957. Lynne moved to Des Moines where she met Wayne Carlton Jennings. They married in 1960 and soon after returned to her home town to live. Together they raised four children.
Lynne spent most of her years working as a typesetter for the Eagle Grove Eagle, retiring in 2005 due to health issues. After suffering kidney failure and nearly 8 years of dialysis, she was blessed by her niece with a new kidney. She spent the rest of her years serving her community and enjoying her many grandkids. Lynne also had a passion for snowmen and mice, especially Mickey & Minnie. Her collections often overtook her home. She will be dearly missed.
Lynne is survived by her husband of over 60 years. Children: Shayne (Tracey) Jennings of Britt, IA, Shelley (Russell) Beisell of Bradenton, FL, Sherry Wagner of Eagle Grove, and Leah Kiefer of Oklahoma. Brother Stephen (Margaret) Amosson of Amarillo, TX, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Angel Niece, Heather Hutchinson, who donated her kidney to her to keep her on this earth longer, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Julia Rutledge, brothers Jerry Amosson and David Amosson.
No service will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
