Alice was the daughter of John Alexander Anderson and Cyntha Ann (Pond) Anderson.

Alice was united in marriage to Thomas Jackson "Uncle Jack" McDaniel on October 13, 1892 in her mothers home at Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. They had five children.

OBITUARY

MRS. McDANIEL OF HALE CENTER DIES

Mrs. T.J. (Alice) McDaniel, 79, of Hale Center died at 9 o'clock this morning at the West Texas Hospital at Lubbock. She had been ill for many months.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed early this afternoon. The rites will be at the Hale Center Primitive
Baptist Church with Elder Kenneth Martin of Hale Center officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery at Bellevue, near Wichita Falls.

Mrs. McDaniel was born August 2, 1873 near Little Rock, Arkansas. (She was born in Hot Spring County, Arkansas) She came to Texas many years ago. In 1892 she was married in Comanche County to T.J. McDaniel. He is among the survivors.

Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Hale Center Primitive Baptist Church.

The couple moved to Hale Center seven years ago from Bowie. They resided at Bowie and in Clay County for almost half a century before moving to the Plains.

Besides her husband, Mrs. McDaniel is survived by four children, Mrs. Ruby Meek, Plainview; I.V. McDaniel, Ardmore, Oklahoma; D.C. McDaniel, Seagraves and Mrs. Valerie Perbost, Central City, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. W.J. Mangum, Henrietta; Mrs. Edna Kirk and Mrs. Lou McMullen, both of Gorman, sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren survive.
