Emma was the daughter of John Alexander Anderson and Cyntha Ann (Pond) Anderson.

Aunt Emma and William "Will" Joseph Mangum were united in marriage on November 28, 1895 in Brown County, Texas. Together they had six children.

1--Bertha Lea [1896-1981]
2--Infant Boy [1897-1897]
3--Anna Irene [1899-1998]
4--Lennie May [1901-1985]
5--Billie Jeanne [1903-1993]
6--Lois Emma [1907-1994]

Aunt Emma was in Arizona with one of daughters, Anna Irene, at the time of Emma's death. Emma was brought back to the Hope Cemetery for burial.

Aunt Emma was a member of the 1st Christian Church.

Aunt Emma was a wonderful cook and baker. She put all five of her daughters through college baking for others.

While in Brown County, Texas in 1996, I was at the Court House looking for marriage license, birth and death certificates, the clerks there found her original marriage license and gave them to me. They are in her Family History Book.

I had a beautiful wedding picture of Aunt Emma and Uncle Will in the book, but someone liked the picture better than I did, so they "borrowed" it and forgot to return it.

Three of their daughters and a son-in-law are all buried in the Mangum plot with the girls parents.

Aunt Emma was my great-grand Aunt.
