Melba Faye Williams, age 84, formerly of Wakarusa, died on November 27, 2020 at Green House Village, Goshen, IN following a brief illness. She was born in 1936 in Wakarusa to Clarence and Mary (Yoder) Smeltzer.

Melba was a graduate of Wakarusa High School. On August 21, 1955, she married Frank Williams in Wakarusa at the First Christian Church. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2014.

Melba retired from Key Bank after nearly 40 years of service, beginning her career at Exchange State Bank after high school graduation. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Wakarusa.

Mrs. Williams is survived by daughters, Debra Williams, Elkhart, Sherry (Greg) Buss, Green Valley, Arizona; grandson Andrew Buss, Oro Valley, Arizona; sister-in-law Judy Smeltzer, Wakarusa, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ruth Newcomer and Viola Smeltzer, and brothers, Dale, Glenn, Clifford, and David Smeltzer.

A private graveside service will be held at Olive West Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Chesley of Bible Baptist Church officiating.
