Mabel Lena Collard Harned Burnside, 91, of Jeffersonville, Ind., died February 8, 1986 at Tender Care Nursing Home in Clarksville, Ind. / Mrs. Burnside was born September 18, 1894 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Benjamin A. and Mary Lucas Collard. She was married to the late John E. Burnside. / Survivors include: two sons, Louis A. Harned of New Albany, Ind., and Joseph H. Harned of Louisville; six daughters, Mary Hoff of Akron, Ohio, Anna Cletus Applegate of Clarksville, Ind., Francis Young of Barberton, Ohio, Elizabeth Hoppes of Jeffersonville, Ind., Rita Reeves of Akron, Ohio, and Christina J. Miller of Jeffersonville, Ind. One son Edward Harned, formerly of Clarkson, preceded her in death. Two sisters, May Harned of Clarkson and Sister Jean Bernadine of Mt. St. Joseph, Maple Mount, thirty grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. / Funeral services were held February 10 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Rev. Raymond Goetz officiating, with burial in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
