James L. Albert, 60, of 267 Mayock Street, an employee of the Wakes-Barre Street Department, was stricken fatally with a heart attack yesterday morning shortly after 10 while working at the city Incinerator. Albert was working with Alex Koretz who sald the victim had not complained of illness before collapsing. City ambulance and fire department inhalator crew were summoned. Fire Chief Ambrose Saricks, . Assistant Chief Edward Jacobson and fireman Jacob Voycheck, Daniel Scott and Leroy, Catea administered 1300 units of oxygen, but were unable to revive Albert. Manning the ambulance were Patrolmen John Lowe and Walter Pomanek. Dr. Robert M. Kerr, deputy coroner, investigated. Mr. Albert, a native of Miners Mills, was a son of the late Henry and Martha Jones Albert, and was a lifelong resident of that section of the city. He had been employed at the Conlon Coal Company for more than three decades prior to his employment , where he worked for the last three years. A member of the Miner Congregational Church, Albert was also associated with some of the church societies. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Siemanski of Miners Mills section, a son. Airman 2C, James L., Jr. presently on leave from Larson Air Force Base. Moses Lake. Wash : a daughter, Mrs.Jeanette Zdrojesky, Wife of TSgt. Louis Zdrojesky, stationed in Japan; Betty, at home: two sisters, Mrs. Martha McCutcheon. and Mrs. Esther Endres. both of this city, and four brothers, John, city; David. West Pittston; William, city, and Harry. Shavertown. Three grand children also survive. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including George A. McCutcheon. member of Westmoreland High School faculty. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 from the H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home, 451 North Main Street, with Rev. Arthur E. Richmond officiating. Interment in Pittston Cemetery. Frlends may call tonight 7 to 10 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 10.
