Services to celebrate the life of Emma Jo Hudson, 72, will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday August 2, 2020 at McPeters Funeral Directors Chapel with burial to follow in the Brigman Hill Cemetery.

Visitation with social distancing guidelines will begin at 1:00 PM and go until service time.

Mrs. Hudson died on July 29, 2020 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born in Alcorn County on April 21, 1948 to the late E.L. (Leland) and Verdie May James. She attended Kossuth High School and worked for Wurlitzer, Benco, and Kimberly Clark where she retired. She attended Victory Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Sanford Hudson; son, William Jason Hudson; daughter, Shelby Emerson (John II); grandchildren, Jason Patrick Wayne Hudson, Cameron Downs, and Chandler Downs; a sister, Doris Austin (Darryl) and sister in laws, Lela James, Betty James, and Nyleen Wilbanks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Marvin James, Ernest "Cotton” James, David James, Arlin James and sisters, Ruth Beasley, Lettie V. Switcher, Dorothy Glidewell, Bid Dildy and Ann James.

Bro. Alan Parker will officiate the services.

Arrangements are under the care of McPeters Funeral Directors.
