Mr Curtis Burks, 73, a resident of Rt 3, Troy AL, died Saturday, February 8, 1986, in a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 1986, at 2 pm from the chapel of Dillard Funeral home with Rev Chris Eckert officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Gladys Burks, Troy, AL; three step daughters, Marion Sanders, Troy, AL, Annis Hughes, Goshen, AL, Margene McCracken, Huntington Beach, CA; four sisters, Mrs Alma English, Union Springs, AL, Mrs Josephine Turner, Troy, AL, Mrs Sarah Glaze, Sweet Water, TN, Mrs Louise McKee, Prattville, AL; four brothers, F B Burks, Lyons, Kansas, James Burks, Birmingham, AL, Vernon Burks, Mesa, AZ, Albert Burks, Austin, TX; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be David Burks, Wayne Burks, Jim Hughes, Randy Hughes, Audie Davis and Richard Williams.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral home from 6 pm until 9 pm Monday evening.
