Services held for Dr. Bailey Friday, Feb. 24

Dr. Reuben K. Bailey died of a heart attack, February 23, in the clinic of his son-in-law, Dr. H. L. Howard, after collapsing on the lawn. Services were held Friday, February 24th, in the Chapel of the Winona Funeral Home. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. R. S. Lowe officiating.

Dr. Bailey was born in Attala County October 27, 1881 but had made his home near Winona for many years where he owned a farm, raised cattle and assisted his brother in his veterinary practice. He was a Methodist.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. H. L. Howard of Winona, Mrs. Lurlene Hutchins, Jackson; two sons, Ennis Bailey and Andrew C. Bailey of Winona; three sisters, Mrs. Drew Cartledge, Morgan City, Mrs. Ira Cannon, Kosciusko and Mrs. Virgil Ellis of Kilmichael; two brothers, Simon Bailey of Kosciusko; and Dr. A. M. Bailey of Winona and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were J. L. Whitehead, Sam Seals, Vice Vance, John Sullivan, B. F. Heath and D. L. Woods.
