Mrs. Emma Ellis
Mrs. Emma Bailey Ellis, 95, of Kilmicheal, died June 23, 1980 at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko after several weeks illness. She was a native of Friendship community in Attala Co., the daughter of the late Johnny C. & Jane Yeager Bailey & a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Virgie A. Ellis of Kilmichael; 4 sons, Arlis C. Ellis of Ethel, Alton J. Ellis & Ezra W. Ellis, both of Kilmichael & Quinton A. Ellis of Vaiden; 1 sister, Nannie Canon of Kosciusko; 2 brothers, Simon W. Bailey of Mendenhall & Dr. A.M. Bailey of Winona, 3 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko on Wednesday, June 25 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Miriam Brantley officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Attala Co. with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.
Pallbearers were Milton Bailey, Carley McElroy, Kenneth Ellis, Neal Hamer, Ray Thomas & Harold Curtis.
