Mrs.Dora Bailey Cartledg,97, of Morgan City died October 20, 1977 at Care Inn in Greenwood after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of the late Drew Cartledge. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Strain of Morgan City; two sisters, Mrs. W. T. Cannon of Kosciusko and Mrs. V. A. Ellis of Kilmichael; two brothers, Dr. A.M. Bailey of Winona and S. W. Bailey of Kosciusko; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. George W. Cantin at Lee Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 1977. Saturday, October, 22, 1977. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Andy Braswelkl, Tommy Braswell, Mike Braswell, Jimmy Patridge, Watson Pillow, James Williams, Derwood Strain Jr., and Lewis Howard.
