Rachel was the daughter (2nd child) of George Albert Roberts, Sr & Mary Fynetta (Gowens) Roberts. She grew up in Haskell County, TX.

She married Pete Caudle on June 15, 1924 and they lived for years in Glendale, AZ. They moved to Abilene and lived their last years in that city. Rachel and Pete never had children.
