Artie Spurlin Price, age 101, of McKinney, Texas, passed away November 30, 2016.  Artie was born January 5, 1915, in Silver Valley, Texas, to George Albert and Mary Fynetta (Gowens) Roberts.  She married Otto Swinny Spurlin on September 10, 1936, in Haskell County, Texas and he preceded her in death.  Artie then married Victor Oren Price on November 7, 1964, in Abilene, Texas and he also preceded her in death.  Artie owned Artie’s Cameo Hair Styles in Abilene, Texas until 1985.  She later moved to McKinney, Texas and was an active member of several community organizations in McKinney as well as a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean Stuart of Richardson, Texas and Paula Sisson and her husband, Dr. Charles Sisson of McKinney, Texas; son, Frank Price and wife, Jackie of Tyler, Texas; grandsons, David Stuart and wife, Cheryl, Robert Stuart and wife, Nicole, and Paul Stuart and wife, Kristin; granddaughters, Kimberly Kirk and husband, Michael and Jana Hanley; ten great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, four brothers, and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas.  Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, December 5, at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
