BESSIE McKEE
September 30, 1936 ~ July 15, 2020

Bessie Bee McKee, better known as “Mamaw”, passed away from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 15th, 2020 at 11:25 pm. with loved ones at her side. Bessie had traveled her journey in this life of 83 years, 9 months & 15 days, to meet her Savior.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents “Robert & Mable Babcock”, three brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson “Kagan Michael Paul McKee”.

Bessie was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on September 30, 1936 and resided in Hugo until marring the love of her life, JC McKee on February 3rd, 1957. Shortly after marriage, JC & Bessie moved to Kansas where they started their family.

JC & Bessie later settled in Redland Oklahoma, while raising their four children; Mike, Jim, Sonya and Donnie. Bessie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and soon would have been a great-great-grandmother.

Bessie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as quilting, researching genealogy and helping her husband JC, working on their farm. Bessie was the image of a devoted Christian with a loving heart and would do anything to help her family and anyone else. She will be greatly missed by all.

Bessie leaves behind a legacy to be carried on by her husband, JC McKee of 63 years; children, Mike McKee & wife, Retha of Foreman, Arkansas, Jim McKee & wife, Lesli of Fort Worth, Texas, Sonya McCombs & husband Michael of Foremen, Arkansas and Donnie McKee & wife, Heather of Kenefic, Oklahoma;

Eleven grandchildren “Chad & Felicia McKee, Amanda & Jason Saiz, Lauren McKee, Kelsi Rondon & Armando Alanzo, Jemilynn & Jason Wright, Jay Curt & Daniel McKee, Jerrika & Colt Holbert, Mindi & David Schmidt, Lauren & Rodney Long, Braeden McKee & Jazen McKee”;

Nineteen great-grandchildren, “Kortlyn, Kyler, Ty, Jason, Peyton, Natalia, Drake, Royce, Abby, Rylan, Jaydan, Sadie, Gray, Rowan, Anslee, Delcan, Bridger, Eli & Rhett, one great-great-grandchild “Taytum Leigh”.

Bessie leaves behind two brothers, Vernon Babcock of Hugo Oklahoma and Jessie Ray Babcock of Hugo, Oklahoma, numerous brother and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to all of Bessie’s doctors, nurses and staff for their devoted love and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Redland Cemetery for perpetual care. Redland Cemetery Fund, 1449 Shinewell Road, Haworth, OK 74740

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the First Assembly of God Church in Haworth, Oklahoma with Pastors Elwayne Schaffer and Mark Davidson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Redland Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. and ask that you please respect and follow social distancing protocol for your safety and theirs.
