Rosie Mae Cooper, age 83, was born October 3, 1932 in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Robert Franklin Babcock and Mable (Brown) Babcock and had lived all of her life in the Hugo area.

Rosie loved God and has been a Christian all her life. She loved her family with an unconditional love. She loved to cook for her family…you never went away from her house hungry. When her kids got home from school, she always had some cool-aid and something homemade for them to eat. When friends showed up, she always fed them too. Most kids considered her their second Mom. She was a very special lady. Rosie especially loved to mow her yard on her riding lawn mower. She loved her flowers and working in the garden. In her younger years, she liked to sew and embroidery.

Rosie loved fishing and taking her grandkids fishing. She always used some type of live bait, but she always told the bait she was sorry, and then she would continue to thread it on the hook. Most of the time she always had some type of picnic stuff on those little fishing trips.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: daughter, Becky Harris of Hugo; sons, Charles Franklin Raney of Hugo and Melton Raney and wife, Marla of Flower Mound, TX; sisters, Bessie Bee McKee of Haworth, OK and Dessie Dee Park of Hugo; brothers, Vernon Ray Babcock, Edgar Lee Babcock, and Jessie Ray Babcock, all of Hugo; grandchildren, Randy Raney, Derrick Raney, Jason Harris, Justin Raney and Alicia Morrison; great grandchildren, Cash Raney, Cade Raney, Wyatt Harris and Matt Harris several nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
