Minerva Virginia Mulvain was born near Richwood, Union County, Ohio, July 8, 1852. In 1861 her parents moved to Starke Co., Ind. At the age of sixteen, she was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church, retaining her relation to this church until her death.
She was united in marriage to Lemuel E. Lower on May 29, 1870. To this union six children were born, four of them preceding her in death.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, Lemuel E. Lower; one son and family, Joseph W. Lower, Marie, his wife, and Minerva Virginia, his daughter; another son, Arthur E. Lower, of Atkinson, Ill.; two sisters, Alice E. Baker of Omaha, Neb., Louisa Tomlinson of North Judson, Ind.; two brothers, William Mulvain of North Judson and Milton Mulvain of Walla Walla, Washington, and many friends.
Her suffering was long and hard but was borne with much grace and patience until God called her on Dec. 27, 1915. She reached the ripe age of 63 years, 5 months and 19 days. The funeral service was held at her home in Wheatfield by Rev. G. A. Emerich, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church and interment was made at San Pierre, Ind.
