Widow of Henry Foster dies after long illness at home of daughter.
Mrs. Mary Hahn Foster, 91, died late Thursday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fred Nelson, Rt. 3, Maryville, after a long illness.
A resident of Maryville for more than 70 years, Mrs. Foster was the widow of the late Henry L. Foster, prominent builder and contractor here for more than 50 years before his death Oct. 7, 1949.
Mrs. Foster had been in ailing health for many years and had been bedridden for the past 5 1/2 years. She had been at the home of Mrs. Nelson for the past nine months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, with burial in the Miriam Cemetery Here.
Mrs. Foster was born to Moses and Mary Loveridge Hahn Dec. 15, 1873, at Rio, Ill., near Galesburg. She was married here to Mr. Foster Feb. 27, 1895.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nelson and Miss Ruth E. Foster, Eau Claire, Wis.; three sons, Charles S. and William H. Foster, both of Maryville, and Paul C. Foster, Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. James Mapes, Havre, Mont., and 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
