Irene Dees, 86, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22, 2021. She was born March 14, 1935 in Brilliant, AL, daughter of the late William Dowell and Donnie A. (Hudson) Eddy. She retired in 1995 from Atwood Manufacturing after 32 years of employment. Irene enjoyed cooking, going to family events and reunions, going to flea markets and garage sales, doing yardwork, and tending her flower gardens.
Irene is survived by her life partner of 46 years, Donnie Wright; brother, Gerald (Patsie) Eddy; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Allen Howard Dees; daughter, Debra LaShae Dees; siblings, Eugene, Ellie Hugh, William Jr, James Berlin, Carl Raymond, Erskine, Dale, Laraine, Janice; special dog, Dakota.
