Graveside services with military honors were held Monday, June 29, 2020, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville with Randall Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. King's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Adams was born in Trigg County, on Feb. 3, 1929 to Ben F. Adams and Nell Harriet Robertson Adams.
He retired from Johnson Controls, was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, member of the Wallonia Christian Church, American Legion, VFW and Woodmen of the World.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his daughter, Kathy Davis; brothers, Howard Adams, Walden Adams, and Elbert Adams and sisters; Betty Lou Herndon and Jane Mitchell.
Survivors include his son, JD (Lynn) Adams of Cadiz; his brothers, Walter Adams of Trigg County, Jesse Adams of Trigg County, David Adams of Hansen; his sisters, Iva West of Princeton, Martha Lumpkin of North Little River, Arkansas, four grandchildren, Jasmine Earls (Daniel), Dover, Tennessee; Jade Pruitt (Rickey), Cadiz; Jason Adams, Hopkinsville, and Suzanne Harris, Texas; a special niece: Judy (Tim( Logan, Hopkinsville; a number of nieces and nephews and a number of great-grandchildren.
