Services for Walden Adams, 87, Cadiz, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be at Adams Cemetery in Cadiz.


Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Shady Lawn Nursing Facility of natural causes.

A native of Cadiz, he was born Oct. 27, 1926, the son of the late Ben F. and Nell Harriett Robertson Adams.

He was farmer, a member of Woodmen of the World and was a member of Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church. In addition, he was a World War II Army veteran.

His wife, Dorothy Nell Adams, preceded him in death.

Survivors include four brothers, Decatur Adams, Hopkinsville, Walter Alva "Mort" and Jessie Wayne Adams, both of Cadiz, and David Ronald Adams, Madisonville; and four sisters, Linda Adams, Iva Nell Adams and Mrs. Layton (Betty Lou Adams) Herndon, all of Cadiz, and Mrs. James (Martha Caroline Adams) Lumpkin, North Little Rock, Ark.
