Augusta Louise Elizabeth Kapke was born June 2, 1880 at LaSalle, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Kapke. She came to the Gladstone community with her parents and continued to make her home there. She was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Evangelical church of east Gladstone.
On April 22, 1913 she married Harry F. Fleagle. She was very active in church work.
Mrs. Fleagle became ill while visiting at Kimball, Nebr., where she and Mr. Fleagle had gone earlier this summer.
Her parents, four sisters, one brother and one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Naiman, who died in 1939, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Siemsen of Kimball, Nebr.; two sons, Leo and Earl Fleagle, also of Kimball; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mike Michels of Gladstone, and Mrs. Frank Biederman of Mission, Kansas, and four brothers, Charles and Henry Kapke of Gladstone and Will and August Kapke of Fairbury.
Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Fleagle home in Gladstone and at 2:30 at the East Gladstone Evangelical church with the pastor, Rev. J. P. Kaiser, officiating. Mrs. Ed. Ehrett sang. Pallbearers were six nephews of Mrs. Fleagle, Delmar, Elmer, Darrell, Dwight, Theodore and Walter Kapke. Burial in the church cemetery. Traum Service.
