Mrs. Mike Michels of Gladstone passed away in a hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, September 11, 1952, at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 2 days. For the past two years her health had been failing.
Emma Pauline Olga Kapke, daughter of the late Theodore Kapke and Augusta Streich Kapke, was born January 9, 1889, near Gladstone, Nebr. She was baptized Feb. 24, 1889 and was confirmed in Zion's Ev. and Reformed church east of Gladstone, March 27, 1904.
On May 5, 1937, she married Martin Michels of Gladstone.
Surviving are her husband; one sister, Mrs. Frank Biederman, Gladstone; four brothers, Wm. Kapke of Fairbury, August Kapke of Fairbury, Henry Kapke of Gladstone and Charles Kapke of Gladstone.
Funeral services were held in Zion's Evangelical and Reformed church east of Gladstone Monday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. D. Buelter, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Nuckolls service.
