A Christian Wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mary Agnes Henson, of Gorum, died Sunday, May 30, 2010.
She was born in Gorum on December 22, 1918, the second of fourteen children.
She accomplished her lifelong dream by returning to school and receiving her high school diploma at the age of 82. She was awarded special recognition by Governor Mike Foster for her dedication and diligent effort. Some of her hobbies include: reading, gardening, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and collecting dolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Charles Henson.
Mary Agnes Henson is survived by her daughters, Georgaree Ledford of Chico, Califonia; Jewel McNallan of Hernet, California and Mary H. Young of Pineville; her sons, Roger Lachney of Mandeville; Frances Henson of Pineville; Donald Dupree of Flatwoods; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Ethal Roman; Vera Nazat; Sue Barlow and Annette Verdino; three brothers, Jay Basco; Alton Basco and Frank Basco.
