Mr. Daniels passed away at his home on April 29, 2020. He was born May 14, 1929 in Grand Saline to Benjamin Franklin and Ella Hobbs Daniell.
Bill grew up in Grand Saline. He served in the Air Force and then became a truck driver. He drove for Bekins Van Lines and US Brass before retiring. Sylvia was able to travel with him once on one of his trips. She really enjoyed it until she got a pinched nerve in her neck from climbing up into his 18 wheeler.
Bill loved animals. He had 4 precious dogs and when DaWanna moved in with cats he realized he was a cat person as well. They have had many house cats as well as the feral cats he loved to tame & feed. He also loved feeding the families of raccoons that visit every night to eat cat food as well as a few possums. He had a special love for his animals and they were/are very spoiled. Bill loved fishing.
Mr. Daniels had a heart of Gold and would do anything in his power to help everyone. It's a well known fact him and his daughter could butt heads but always with love.
Mr. Daniels is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Ella Daniell; daughter, DaWanna Simon; grandson, David Taylor; two brothers: Earl and L.J. Daniell; and sister, Zelma .
Bill is survived by his wife, Sylvia Daniels, of Dallas; daughter, Faye Marie and Larry Olson, of Dallas; son, Robert Taylor of Mabank; three grandchildren: Billy Shane Simon, Kevin and Kyle Olson; and eleven great-grandchildren.
