Services for Sylvia Pauline Daniels, 94, will be held 12:00 pm Monday, July 24, 2023 at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Ronnie Daniell officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Daniels passed away peacefully at her home in Dallas on July 19, 2023. She was born February 11, 1929 in Belen, NM to Romulo and Severa Castillo Aragon.
Sylvia was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Dallas. She grew up in Belen, New Mexico and then moved to Oklahoma City before settling in Dallas where she lived the rest of her life. Sylvia opened a wig shop in her home in 1971. After Faye Marie joined the business, they moved it to a retail strip center. Sylvia loved to find deals on old furniture and then strip and refinish the pieces to make them new again. She enjoyed crappie fishing, sewing, reading, playing poker and going to the casino.
Mrs. Daniels is preceded in death by her husband, B.F. "Bill" Daniels; daughter, DaWanna Simon; and grandson, David Taylor.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Robert Taylor of Mabank; daughter and son-in-law, Faye Marie and Larry Olson of Dallas; three grandchildren: Billy Shane Simon, Kevin and Mandy Olson, and Kyle and Melissa Olson; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
