Mrs. Charles Motts
Mrs. Ada Motts, 69, wife of Charles Motts of Bear Creek, passed away at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mercer Hospital after an illness of the last three years of a heart ailment. Her condition had been serious for three months and Saturday she was admitted to the hospital.

Mrs. Motts was born March 17, 1871in Vernon Township, a daughter of Henry and Susan Call Lewis. She had resided all her life in Scioto County. Mrs. Motts was a member of the Ladies' Auxillaty of the Spanish American War Veterans, and of the Methodist Church.

Fifth years ago she married William Coyle, who died in 1907. On June 26, 1914 she married Mr. Motts.

Surviving are her husband, two children by her former marriage, Walter Coyle 1230 Coles Blvd., and Mrs. Margaret Rollins of Buena Vista; two sons by her second marriage, Charles and Fred Motts of the home; three brothers, Charles and Edward Lewis of Wheelersburg and Fred Lewis of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wendell-Howland funeral home where the body will remain.
