She was born September 17, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky, the daughter of Harlen and Thelma (Gibson) Hawkins.
She was married to Linzy R. Morton, who preceded her in death .
Geneva is survived by her two sons, Scott A Morton of Union Mills, IN, Roy L. Blair of AR; daughter, Leona C. (David) Kindle of La Porte, ; two brothers, Arvin Hawkins of Shelby, OH, and David Hawkins of Marion, OH; Five sisters, Lillian, Janice, Lyvonn, BulaAnn, LenaMay; four grandchildren and 8 great-grand children
Along with her parents and husband of 40 years, Geneva was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye, Gladys, Naomi, Shirley and brothers, Raymond and Estil.
A resident of this area for 54 years, Geneva loved sewing and animals, but her special joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her daughter ran a paper route for the Herald Argus for 10 years in the downtown area.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Interment will be private.
