AHDOHLOWAH ESTHER TONIHKA
July 5, 1946 ~ January 22, 2020

Ahdohlowah Esther Tonihka, 74, passed away at her home in Eagletown, OK on January 22, 2020. She was born July 5, 1946 to Theodore Ray and Cora Lavada Tonihka in Chicago, IL.

Ahdohlowah was a lifelong member of the Mountain Fork Church. She attended Chemeka Community College, Carl Albert State College, and Southeastern Oklahoma State. She had received an Associate of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Arts, and a master’s degree in accounting.

She had achieved many awards through out her life including a quality awards from Hewlett Packard and Texas Instruments. She had worked for Hewlett Packard as a group leader for 16 years and for Texas Instruments for 21 years before retiring.

Ahdohlowah enjoyed going to yard sales, fishing, Choctaw hymns, sewing traditional Choctaw clothing, collecting and writing old recipes, making traditional dolls, and going to traditional tribal dances.

Ahdohlowah was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Nick Wayne and Shawn Ray; nieces, Shawna Lavada Perry and Ruth Willean Sehon; brother, John J. Tonihka; sister, Theda Ray Tonihka; brother-in-law, Larry McCoy; and aunt, Carrie Belle Bohanan.

Ahdohlowah is survived by her son, Heath Ford, Eagletown; sisters, Betsy Tonihka McCoy, and Pheodosia Perry, both of Eagletown, Lajohnda Lynn and Herbie Highfill, both of North Little Rock; brothers, Joey Sehon and Carmen, of Little Rock;

Grandchildren, Samantha Ford, of Dallas, and Heath Ford, Jr, of Seattle, WA; and great grandchild, Elias Ford, of Wisconsin; step-father, Leon Petty, of Broken Bow;

Nephews and great nephews, William Leon, Teddy Ray, Billy Ray, J.R., Ronnie, Paul Scott, Herbie, Michael, Adam, Bill, Ted, Trevor, Kodie, Brandon, Adam, Trevor, Joshua, Kodie and Krisha, David, Eddie Lyndon, Brandon, Anthony, Matthew, Michael French; nieces and great nieces, Savanha Nicole, Sara Jetta and Morgan, Tasha, Amanda and Greg, Tiffany and Drew, Jill, Robin and Allen, Chrystal and Tony, Tiffany, LaTisha Renee, Ashley and Tim, Brittany and Juan, Lindsey and Zack, Joantae, Alyssa, and Destiny & Bethany Perry; numerous other relatives and a host of many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Mountain Fork Church of Eagletown, with Pastor Tim Smallwood officiating.
