Mrs. Elizabeth Devoll Jones, 80, widow of Willis Hamilton Jones, died Thursday night at 11:45 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.L. Westbrook, north of the city.
She was born March 1, 1847, in Licking County where she spent her entire life. At an early age she became a member of the Methodist Protestant Church at Miles chapel and remained a faithful member.
On October 6, 1861 she was united in marriage to Willis Hamilton Jones, who preceded her in death eight years ago. Surviving are three sons and one daughter; Mrs. Flora Westbrook, Bertie Jones of Croton, Allen Jones of Utica and Amzie Jones of this city. One son is deceased. She also leaves one brother, James Devoll of Newark, 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Pleasant View United Brethren Church. Rev. P.E. Wright will officiate and burial will be made in Barnes cemetery.
