Henry Devoll died at his home at Rocky Fork yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, death being due to advanced age. Mr. Devoll not being able to withstand an attack of pneumonia. He was born at Marietta, Oct. 7, 1835, and some years later came to Licking County, settling in the vicinity of Rocky Fork, where he was married to Miss Sarah Moore. He followed farming al his life and was highly respected by all who knew him. Mr. Devoll was a member of the Church of Christ at Rocky Fork. He is survived by three sons and a daughter, William, Allen, John and Miss Mary Devoll. The funeral will take place at Rocky Fork Friday morning at 11 o'clock, interment to be made in the cemetery near by.
Henry was the son of Harry (Henry) and Christiana Miles DeVoll. Harry was born abt. 1801 and died Jan. 20, 1847, leaving a wife and six small children. A seventh child, Elizabeth Amanda was born six weeks after the death of her father.
Christiana was born in 1804 in PA. Her date of death is unknown, and their final resting place is unknown.
