Doris Virginia Mitchell, 76, passed away surrounded by loved ones in Haskell, Texas, on Sunday, December 29, 2019.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Woodson, Texas.

The services and Interment under the direction of Melton Kitchens Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow at a later date.

Doris was born on July 25, 1943 to parents Jack and Verdie Hitchcock in San Angelo, Texas.

She was raise for the majority of her life in Colorado City, Texas.

She later met Ronnie Bill Mitchell there and they were married shortly thereafter.

She then moved to Woodson, where her and her husband ran Mitchell Service Station, the local Exxon since 1976.

One of the many loves of her life was music, especially singing karaoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her three brothers: Scott Hitchcock, Leroy Hitchcock, and Billy Hitchcock; sister, Ruthie Tucker; daughter, Beverley Clark; and son, Ronnie Mitchell; granddaughter, Holli Wolfe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Woodson and can be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at meltonkitchens.com
