He attended Highlands University and was the school's 39th graduate. He became a school teacher and a Valencia County school superintendent. He was also a farmer and rancher.
He is survived by four sons, Edwin Berry, Gladio and Doroteo Baca, all of Adelino, and Max Baca of Albuquerque; two daughters, Crisanta Padilla of Tome and Silo-mena Otero of Peralta; six brothers. Luis, Antonio, Crestino, Frank and Adelio Baca, all of Adelino. and Jose Maria Baca of Barstow, Calif.; two sisters. Miss Tillie Baca of Adelino and Mrs. Paul Torres of Tome; 40 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leocadia (Sanchez) Baca.
Interment in the Tome Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leon Otero, Charles Baca, Roman Baca. Matthew Padilla, John Sanchez and Fabian Padilla.
