Maximo "Max" T. Baca, age 74, a resident of Adelino, NM, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 surrounded by his loving family and friends after a short battle with cancer. Max was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed dearly. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tome, NM. Max proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Theresa C. Baca; brothers, Gladio I. Baca, Doroteo R. Baca and Edwin A. Berry; and parents, Manuel A. and Leocadia S. Baca; and brother, Ramon R. Baca. Max is survived by his loving sisters, Crisanta and Filomena; children, Michael Baca of Adelino, Julianne Beatty of Albuquerque, NM, David Baca and wife, Tracy of Gilbert, AZ, Timothy Baca of Adelino, and Stephen Baca and wife, Samuele of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Alexis Gourd and husband, Jason, Andres Baca, Tyler Baca, Matthew Beatty, Jocelyn Beatty, Swann Baca, Cesar Baca and Elliot Baca; great-granddaughter, Taylor Lindsay; and step-great-grandson, Carter Gourd. All services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tome, on Saturday, February 20, 2010 beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez presiding.
