Ada Sester of Sextons Creek, KY was born on Thursday, Sept.1, 1949 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Andy & Mae Barrett Byrd. She passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.
She is survived by her husband Carl Wayne Sester; her children Debbie (Doone) Bowling, Patsy Wilson, Doug (Mary) Sester, Frances (Jeff) Sweet, Tony (Kristy) Sester, & Mae (Chase) Thomas; her grandchildren Marcy Mivins, Michael Harris, Andrew Sester, Felicia Bowling, Dakota Grubb, Chazz Sester, Zach Sester, Kaleb Thomas, Mary Elizabeth Thomas, & Jackson Thomas; great grandchildren Liam Mivins & Aiden Mivins.
Ada is also survived by her sisters Glenna Ray, Emma Day & Rose Hornsby & her brother James Byrd Jr. as well as a host of extended family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Andy & Mae Byrd; her sisters Martha McDaniel, Mary Bray, Geneva Bray, Betty Byrd, Alice Hensley & Estella Ray; her brothers Bill Byrd, Bob Byrd, Corbet Byrd & Ralph Byrd.
Ada was a devoted member of the Ell's Branch Church. She will be remembered most for her sweet, generous spirit & loving nature.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rominger Funeral Home toward expenses.
A celebration of life for Ada Sester will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Ball & Bro. Chase Thomas will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Collins Cemetery in the Collins Fork Community.
